Student,8 and Two Adults killed at California Elementary school shooting; Gunman shoots himself and two others in Elementary school classroom 



     Riverside male, shot estranged wife and two students, leaving one student injured and killing teacher and an 8-year-old boy at North Park Elementary School in San Bernardino. Shooter kills himself right after. 

"Suspect in shooting identified as Cedric Anderson, age 53, resident of Riverside CA", said Chief Jarrod Burguan of the San Bernardino Police Department @SBPDChief on Twitter.  
     Chief Burguan kept San Bernardino residents updated every few minutes via Twitter, moments after the attack to ensure safety around the area. Also, alerted residents to stay away until further notice.  
     "Victim in school shooting identified as Karen Smith, age 53, estranged wife of suspect", said Chief Jarrod Burguan of the San Bernardino Police department @SBPDChief on Twitter. 
     Students hid behind their teacher as suspect pulled the trigger and killed Karen Smith, 53, Jonathan Martinez,8 and injured other student, 9. Shooting happened inside a special needs classroom, students ranged from first grade to fourth grade. Both students were taken to local hospitals, student, 9 under stable condition, Jonathan Martinez, 8 died at hospital.  
     The two students were not the target, but hit by accident. They happened to be in close proximity of teacher, Smith when she was shot at. 
     Marissa Perez a 9-year-old girl witnessed her teacher and classmates being shot in her classroom. The video shows Perez recounting the tragedy as her mother, Elizabeth Barajas hugs her.

     Reason maintains unknown to why suspect attempted murder-suicide. Meanwhile, parents follow protocol and wait 2-3 hours until being reunited with their children. Students were loaded on buses and taken to California State University San Bernardino. Hours later, students returned to Cajon High School to be reunited with parents. 
      A crisis hotline has been provided for North Park Elementary school for those who need additional emotional support from the incident.  
     "Candles & flowers are laid out on the corner of Northpark Blvd. & H St. near the #SanBernardino North Park Elementary School shooting scene", said Rachel Luna @TheRachelLuna on Twitter.  
      San Bernardino residents united near the school shooting and laid candles and flowers as they mourned their loss. A prayer Vigil was said to be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 6 p.m. this evening.  
     "Lourdes Martin, 28, of San Bernardino, and her children place cards & candles on the sidewalk near North Park Elementary in #SanBernardino", said Rachel Luna @TheRachelLuna on Twitter. 
      More people gather around North Park elementary later that evening, sharing prayers and thoughts. One resident shared a positive message on his shirt, stated " No more violence in SB." Others drew pictures and made cards and placed them on the corner near the school.  
     "Your schoolmates will miss you!" & "you are an angel above!!" Are written on cards placed at a makeshift memorial site. #SanBernardino", said Rachel Luna @TheRachelLuna on Twitter. 
     California State San Bernardino psychology club has teamed up with Stacy Books to collect teddy bears for the students at North Park elementary school. Donations must be made by Wednesday, April 12. San Bernardino school will remain closed following murder-suicide.
